This Cold...

Just won't go away.
Its freezing outside.
I'm very tired of winter.

Last week, I had moved around work, so I could dedicate a week to working on the book.
Then Sir got sick--I'm sure you all know what than can do to the best well-laid plans.
Starting this week?
I've lost my voice.
It seems I have caught part of what he had--I don't even know how that's possible.
And its annoying.

My go to remedy for colds/flu is a ginger bath which sounds absurd, but does provide a godly amount of relief. What's your favourite remedy for the cold season?

I luuuuurve hot honey and lemon it's a miracle cure! Also extra zinc can help too, if you take supplements.

    1. Thanks, MC.
Yeah...I have a thing against honey. And though I do take supplements, I always forget about the zinc until afterwards.

  2. I hope you get better soon.

One of my favorites for a cold is eucalyptus and lemongrass essential oil blend, either in a bath or in a humidifier.

  3. I love baths. I take one every week (all I have time for) but never gave thought to what good it might do while sick. 1 cup Epsom salt, 1 cup baking soda, ginger, and very hot water, is my bath.

    Hope you feel better soon!

Remedy? Not sure this is your thing, but I like Alka-Seltzer Plus. Well, I don't like the way it tastes, but I like that it helps me feel better.
    I like Hot Toddy's.
    SLEEP!!!!!

    Hope you're better really soon.

  6. Oh no :-( I hope you feel better soon! If a cough is involved, use Vicks on the soles of your feet when you go to bed! Swear by Olbas Oil for a blocked nose too! Hugs!
